Makita 1650W 255mm Compound Mitre Saw
The 255mm (10”) compound saw (LS1040) features a 1,650W motor with a no-load speed of 4,600rpm. The saw can bevel 45-degrees left, with a mitre range of 45-degrees left and right. The blade case of the LS1040 is connected to the base by a rigid arm meaning the saw can cut more accurately. The saw also features a movable sub fence that allows material to be better supported across multiple cutting positions. The LS1040 comes standard with a dust bag that can be mounted at the rear of the blade case to capture debris, or in place of the dust bag an optional dust extractor can be connected. The saw is also fitted with an electric brake to rapidly slow wheel rotation when the switch is released.

Features
- Safety Switch - The safety switch on top of the handle must be pressed & held to unlock the trigger & operate the saw.
- Dust Bag - The dust bag that comes standard can easily be removed & emptied, the dust bag can also be substituted for optional dust extraction.
- Bevel Lock Lever - The lock lever at the back can be loosened to allow the rear arm to bevel left up to 45-degrees.
- Movable Sub Fence - The sub-fence can be moved to the left or right to better support material across multiple cutting positions
- Powerful 1,650W Motor - 1,650W continuous rating input offers 4,600rpm no-load speed for high performance cutting.
- Electric Brake - When the switch is released the electric brake will engage to rapidly slow the blade.
- Mitre Adjustment & Lock - The table can mitre up to 45-degrees to the left & right using the front lever with positive stops at 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 45° (left & right).

Accurate and lightweight

This is my third saw in as many years and its the cheapest. I should have bought this from the outset. I use it for architraves. It was accurate out of the box. It is also compact and very lightweight. Easy to get in and out of the ute. When anyone asks, I tell them to get this one. Very happy.
